EASTCONN’s Quinebaug Middle College (QMC) students will present nearly 100 student-made works of art at the opening reception of the QMC Student Art Show on Tues., Jan. 16, 2018, from 4-6 p.m., at Quinebaug Middle College, 742 Upper Maple St., Danielson.
The public is invited to attend this family-friendly event and admission is free.
Thirty-three grade 10 through 12 students in QMC’s Drawing and Design, Graphic Design and Photography courses will showcase at least two samples of their recent work.
Drawings, 3D printed designs and rice paper lanterns are among the variety of pieces included in the art show.
“I am most proud of the students’ ability to persevere and creatively problem solve to achieve esthetically pleasing compositions and designs,” said QMC Art teacher Jen Wilkosz.
QMC, a public magnet high school administered by EASTCONN, is recruiting academically motivated students who will enter grades 9-12 in the 2018-2019 school year.
