Amy is the Coordinator of Assistive Technology as well as an Assistive Technology Professional and Transition Coordinator at EASTCONN. She works with individuals with disabilities across the lifespan providing assessment, consultation, coaching and training. She assists districts with integrating the use of assistive technology into the general education classroom, curriculum and transition planning. Additionally, she works with the CT Tech Act (CTTAP) and the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS) to assess the assistive technology needs of adults with disabilities in preparing for work and in accomplishing tasks in the work settings. She assists in meeting the telecommunications needs of individuals who are deaf/blind through the Access through Technology Program coordinated by the CTTAP. She provides training on the creation and remediation of accessible documents as part of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Accessibility initiative of the CTTAP. Amy received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stonehill College and a master’s degree in special education from Boston College. She is a RESNA certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and a Charting the LifeCourse Ambassador. She has presented on a wide variety of assistive technology topics at the regional, state and national level.

Stacey is a Registered, Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Connecticut as well as a RESNA Certified Assistive Technology Professional and Aging-in-Place Specialist. She has experience with providing AT services including; assessment, consultation, implementation of AT for the K-12 school aged population as well as with the CT Tech Act (CTTAP) and the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS) to assist adults with disabilities in preparing for work and/or accomplishing tasks in the work settings. Her specialties include: AT access, AT solutions for reading, writing, and organization. She received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Connecticut State University and a Certificate in Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 30 years in Public Schools, with a concentration in assistive technology for the past 20 years. She has presented on Assistive Technology topics at both statewide and international conferences.

Ann is a Speech-Language Pathologist and Assistive Technology Specialist on the EASTCONN AT Team. She specializes in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and provides assessment, consultation, and professional development to serve individuals who have complex communication needs. For over a decade, Ann has worked as an AAC consultant across Eastern Connecticut schools, to collaborate with and train educational teams in regards to selection and implementation of AAC in the educational environment. Prior to working with the AT Team, Ann worked in the EASTCONN Related Services Group as a full-time school-based SLP. Ann also concurrently worked in the home setting to deliver speech-language services through EASTCONN’s Birth-to-Three program. She received her Bachelor’s degree from UConn and Master of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University. While pursuing her graduate degree, Ann worked in the university’s Center for Adaptive Technology. She is grateful for having gotten the opportunity to work with individuals with special needs from birth through post-secondary education. Ann is a certified TouchChat trainer and maintains membership in the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Ann specializes in assessing and implementing eye gaze devices, guiding those who have been formally trained in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), and completing the insurance funding process to help students acquire the highest quality Speech-Generating Device (SGD) at no cost to the school or family. She has given numerous presentations at the regional, state, and national level.

Melissa is the Coordinator of Related Services at EASTCONN. She is a Registered, Licensed Occupational Therapist in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. She graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Services. In 1999, she graduated from Becker College, Worcester, MA with an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. After passing the national certification board exam she became a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. In 2013, she earned a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from New England Institute of Technology, East Greenwich, RI. Over the course of her 23 years as an occupational therapy practitioner, Melissa has worked in various settings such as a nursing home, an out-patient clinic, in-home birth to three, K-12 public schools, therapeutic/clinical day schools, autism schools, and 18-22 transition programs. Melissa has a strong passion for assisting students ages 3-21 with varying abilities succeed in the classroom, community and in their activities of daily living.

Nicole is licensed and certified as a Speech-Language Pathologist and a Behavior Analyst. Currently, she works as the Assistive Technology Specialist for EASTCONN's Psychological and Behavioral Consultation Department. Nicole received her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Worcester State University. She worked for several years as a Speech-Language Pathologist before returning to school to study Applied Behavior Analysis at Northeastern University. After working in the field for several more years in applied behavioral analysis, Nicole continued to advance her career by acquiring a Certificate of Special Education Administration from Rhode Island College. Before working at EASTCONN, Nicole was the SLP/BCBA and then Special Education Director of a non-public school supporting individuals of all ages with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Nicole has a passion for educational technology and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She works closely with families and school teams to educate, train and support the implementation of technology and AAC in the school environment.
