CS4CT (Computer Science For Connecticut) Summit 2018

Nearly 240 Connecticut educators, business leaders and Connecticut Department of Education officials recently attended the CS4CT Summit, “Launching the Computer Science Revolution in Connecticut,” to seek support for strategies that will embed effective, high-quality computer science curricula across Connecticut’s K-12 public school system. Conference attendees also focused on the importance of providing robust computer science PD for K-12 teachers.

CS4CT Planning Committee members Chinma Uche, Ph.D., who is a Math and Computer Science teacher at CREC’s Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, joined Seth Freeman, Capital Community College Professor of Computer Information Systems, to welcome attendees to the day-long summit in Cromwell.

EASTCONN Executive Director Gary Mala delivered the Summit’s opening remarks, laying the foundation for the summit’s panel discussions and break-out sessions.
