Leaders will engage with author and national leadership consultant Lyle Kirtman as he addresses the reality of our school districts - lack of resources, crisis situations, and day-to-day problems - which can often stop the important strategic thinking that helps us shift from a reactive culture to a proactive culture.
In the morning, we will focus on how leaders build coherence and Lyle's 7 key competencies for system change. In the afternoon, we will identify the distractions that block coherence, and address developing strategies to prevent derailment and create sustainable improvement for students.
Gain a sneak peek into Lyle's new book Coherent Leadership (coming soon) and the districts succeeding in advancing system change.
Prior to the workshop, participants will be sent a link to complete a WPI (workplace inventory), which will provide useful information regarding a leader’s attributes that can enhance success. It will also help identify interpersonal attributes that can hinder or derail progress. Lyle will incorporate the results to provide you with both personal and collective leadership knowledge on how to positively and successfully create sustainable advancements based your profiles.
Leadership teams are encouraged to attend.
The low cost for this professional development is supported through grant funds. Morning refreshments and lunch are included.
