Teacher Education And Mentoring (TEAM) Program

TEAM (Teacher Education And Mentoring Program) is a professional growth model that incorporates the Connecticut Standards for Professional Learning and provides Connecticut’s beginning teachers with multiple opportunities to reflect on their practice, analyze student data and outcomes, and identify areas for growth and improvement for their individual professional learning. Launched by the Connecticut State Department of Education in 2010, TEAM was – and is – intended to help new teachers improve their teaching skills, obtain beneficial mentoring support from experienced teachers, and stay in Connecticut’s public school system. In partnership with the CSDE and other education professionals, EASTCONN designed the original TEAM portal and Dashboard, which continue to be used by the CSDE and teachers statewide.

EASTCONN offers a variety of TEAM Training and Support sessions:

TEAM Technical Support

EASTCONN is a key TEAM administrator, managing not only the TEAM portal and Dashboard, but also TEAM’s administrative details on behalf of the CSDE. EASTCONN provides TEAM Dashboard Access for all LEAs. The CSDE, in collaboration with the Regional Educational Service Center (RESC) Alliance, announced that all LEAs now have access to the TEAM Dashboard. Districts continue to have options for module completion.
