Speech-Language Therapy

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) provide a range of services, including universal screening, progress monitoring and intervention services necessary for school-wide Scientific Research-Based Interventions (SRBI). In addition, SLPs continue to provide traditional student assessment, consultation, intervention and supervision services.

 

School-based Speech-Language Pathologists work as part of the educational team to support preschool through young adult students in the following areas of development:

 

  • Language disorders
  • Speech sound disorders
  • Voice
  • Fluency
  • Hearing
  • Auditory Processing
  • Social/Pragmatic language disorders

Meredith Eberhard, M.S., CCC-SLP 

Meredith Eberhard is a Speech-Language Pathologist with EASTCONN’s Related Services Group. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She currently works with students in grades PreK-8 providing a wide range of services including assessment, treatment, and consultation for students with speech and language disorders. Meredith has previously worked in a variety of settings including schools, out-patient rehabilitation, homes, and private facilities treating ages 3-adulthood. Holly Harder, MA, CCC-SLP 

Holly Harder is a Speech-Language Pathologist with EASTCONN’s Related Services Group. She received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from UConn. Prior to working for EASTCONN, Holly was employed by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) for 29 years. At DDS, Holly provided speech, language, and dysphagia services to children and adults with a variety of cognitive, physical, and behavioral disabilities. Currently, Holly is providing speech and language services to students attending public and private schools in northeastern Connecticut. Tracey Neumuth, SLPA 

Tracey Neumuth received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from UConn and pursued a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Southern Connecticut State University. Prior to joining EASTCONN, Tracey worked in several large school systems in Connecticut, in a private practice providing services to children with autism, and as an early intervention specialist and service coordinator for the CT Birth to Three System. Sarah Turner, M.S. CCC-SLP 

Sarah Turner is a Speech-Language Pathologist with EASTCONN’s Related Services Group. She graduated from Northeastern University with a master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Prior to working with EASTCONN, Sarah was employed by a private school in Massachusetts where she provided speech and language treatment for children and young adults with autism. Currently, Sarah provides a wide range of services, including treatment, assessment and consultation for schools across the northeastern portion of Connecticut.
